When the Replacement Base for B&W Companion OEM Chevy 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # BWRVB3700 is installed you'll be able to adjust the position of the head center to being right above the truck's rear axle to just slightly forward by an inch or so. It will be mainly right above the rear axle or slightly forward with no option for slightly behind.
That said, since you have a short bed truck you'll want the slider base version instead so that you have the needed clearance to make tight turns.... view full answer...
For your application I recommend installing the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness # C56070 for an easy-access in-bed 7-Way socket on your 2021 Chey Silverado 3500, and then cutting off the 7-Way connector on your Lance and installing the Trailer Wiring 7-Way Upgrade Kit # HS381-9000 instead.
For whatever reason Lance has decided to install a non-standard 7-Way plug on their truck campers so there isn't anything that matches up with it. If you cut off the OEM 7-Way and replace... view full answer...
For your 2018 Chevy Silverado 3500HD with the factory rail kit the correct 5th wheel hitch from B&W depends on the length of your truck's bed. If you have a short bed you'd want the Companion item # BWRVK3770. This is a slider hitch which will give you the needed clearance to make tight turns.
If you have a long bed instead you'd want the fixed hitch version of this hitch item # BWRVK3700. You should note that since the puck dimensions are different between the long and short bed versions... view full answer...
Since there isn't a way to adapt a Draw Tite Signature Series fifth wheel hitch to fit GM factory fifth wheel rail kits like what you have in your 2018 Chevy Silverado 3500HD the best solution we have is a B and W Companion Slider hitch that is designed to fit the factory rail kit you have. For that the best option is the B and W Companion Slider for GM Factory Rail kits part # BWRVK3770. In the RV world the USA-Made Companion hitches are considered by most to be the best option around... view full answer...
That is a really good question, lets find a solution for you.
**Andersen Ultimate Connection 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch System with Adapter - 20,000 lbs # AM3200.
*Gen-Y Hitch 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box - Auto Latch - Lippert 1621/1621 HD - 21K - 3.5K TW # GY58GR.
Chucking comes from a loose connection at the coupling point between the trailer and the hitch/ball.
The Andersen is a light hitch and really easy to remove and install, but when you add an adapter to the mix that makes more... view full answer...
That's a lot of questions, let's get them answered for you. First, yes it does significantly change the install time, not only that but with the easy removal of the hitch when not in use you have full uninhibited use of your truck bed as if there was never a hitch to begin with. If your 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 has the OEM Prep Package then you do not need to install additional under-bed rails or have need for the traditional style above bed rails such as the Curt, # C16429-204.

Yes, the Curt E16 5th Wheel Hitch w R16 Roller for Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package # C16667 would be all that you'd need to tow your 5th wheel trailer. This hitch will fit directly to the rail kit you have and you'd be ready to tow.

That would depend on the stud size of the hubs you plan to install on the Taskmaster Wheel and Tire # TTWA16RGWSHD that you referenced.
Typically the recommended shape of lug nut is the 1/2 inch cone shaped lug nut # X1023R.
The # CE11051 has the 60 degree coned which is standard and fits 1/2 inch wheel bolts.
I have linked the above mentioned products to this page for your convenience. view full answer...
The Reese M5 fifth wheel hitches like the part # RP30895 only fit the GM factory fifth wheel rail kits, since you have a Reese Elite fifth wheel rail kit you'd have to go with an M5 fifth wheel hitch if you are in need of a new hitch. We have the Elite part # RP30922 that has a towing capacity of 27,000lbs which would be a great solution if the reason you want a new hitch is because you need more towing capacity. This will drop right into the pucks of your Reese underbed puck system. view full answer...
I do have an option for you but was unable to locate one specific to the B&W. We have Cover # CA80116. The cover is sized to be universal fit with measurements of 24" wide, 24" length and 18" tall. It utilizes 4 hooks or straps to secure to the hitch. I have included 2 pictures below, the first is of the measurements. The second is on a B&W for a Ram. The pucks on the Ram are spread much wider than your 2021 Chevrolet Silverado. view full answer...
We have a few options that may work for your 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 3500. Since you said you have a short bed you will need a slider hitch at the least, and you said you have bed rails that you do not wish to take off. This would then require a hitch that has more height so you have clearance for the rails.
I was not able to find the number 30031 you asked about. You would need to verify the hitch and what its capabilities were to safely use it for your camper. I will make some recommendations... view full answer...
For the OEM gooseneck hitch of your 2020 Chevy Silverado 3500 there are two options. The B and W part # BWGNXA2061 and the Curt # C60692. I strongly prefer the B and W mainly as it has a handle that makes grabbing the ball to install/remove it easier but also prevents you from having to grab the ball at all which is normally covered in black grease and dirt. It's just a cleaner and easier release mechanism so it's the best option.

For your 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 3500, I recommend the Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F2609 over the Air Lift LoadLifter 7500 XL Air Helper Springs part # AL57538. The Firestone Red Label airbags will do an excellent job of helping to support your truck bed camper or gooseneck trailer. They have a 7,500 lb weight capacity which will work better for you because you are going to be using an in-bed camper which will add more weight over the rear axle than with a 5th wheel or... view full answer...
For a wireless and magnetic solution the Swift Hitch part # 04928 would be an easy way to watch as you back the truck up to connect it to the trailer. At this time (March 2021) we don't have a camera that would install to the third brake light and display on the truck console display. view full answer...
Installing the P3 brake controller # 90195 on your 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500 with factory integrated controller will actually be very simple.
What you will do is use harness # 3016 which plugs into a port on the truck already. But you will need to remove the blue wire from the end that plugs into the truck. You will then take a length of wire, # 10-1-1, and connect it to the blue wire you removed from the connector.
Route the blue wire through the firewall, under the truck, and to the... view full answer...
For your 8 foot bed 2021 Chevy Silverado 3500 we have the BedRug Custom Mat # BR94FR which is similar that is a fit but we do not have a similar Access mat to the # A25020419 that you referenced for an 8 foot bed. view full answer...
For your 17,000 lb GVWR on your 5th wheel, you will be fine using an 18,000 lb hitch like the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # BWRVK3255. The hitch will be just as safe for your trailer as a hitch rated for 20,000 lbs because you will still be well under the capacity of the hitch even when your trailer is loaded to capacity.
For your rails on your 2015 Silverado 3500, I recommend the B&W Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # BWRVK2506. This kit has... view full answer...
We see this problem a lot because trucks keep getting taller and taller, as you mentioned. The issue is that 5th wheel trailers are nose high when trying to become level and there is one solution we recommend, which is to add an over/under kit.
What an over/under kit does is move your trailer's leaf springs to the top of your axle and lifts your trailer approximately the same amount as your axle's diameter plus the height of the leaf spring pack (please keep in mind this conversion kit... view full answer...
